SsupportOffemaleIimprovisingArtists takes up an idea of the American support program "Sisters in Jazz", which was set up for the further musical education of female jazz musicians, but adds an important component: in addition to artistic profiling, the aim is to promote their networking and self-marketing. Due to its independent orientation, SOFIA positions itself as a pioneering project in the international context. Jazz in Dübendorf supported this idea with performances by Sarah Belz, Sonja Bossert and Salome Moana at Pasta & Piano, which were very popular with the audience. And because it is so promising, we were able to convince the musicians to put together a program specially composed and designed for our jazz days. They are supported by Mareille Merck and Pius Baschnagel. A premiere in the truest sense of the word!
